QUILT 'N STITCH CLUB NEWS

THIMBLEBERRIES CLUB

We’ll be starting a new Sampler: Lodge and Lakeside (94 X 108 inches). This will be done as a Block of the Month in the form of a mystery and completed in November. The Block of the Month will be made after the club meeting, from 2-4 P.M. The borders and backing will be paid for in the $20 dues.
There will be a mystery weekend in March and Camp in June. These are great get-away times to devote to quilting.
A possible project is a group quilt for Project Faith Star which is similar to St. Jude’s Hospital. Lynette Jenson would like club members to donate a quilt to this group.

BLOCK WATCHERS

Blockwatcher Club members are working on their fourth quilt of the year. We are currently working on a quilt called Dots and Dashes. Member choose what size and what colorway to make their quilt. It is always fun to see how each pattern changes when different colorways are used. We meet on the first Saturday following the first Friday of the month. We sew, eat and visit. Well, maybe not is that order but, we do manage to get alot of sewing done. Come and join us as we complete this years projects.

POT LUCK CLUB

The Pot Luck Club meets on the first Friday of each month. You are invited to bring your machine and your project so that you can enjoy sewing with others and have help available, if needed.
This will be the first day that the new Block of the Month will be available. The block can be used as your project for the day. It is also a day to bring your favorite dish for lunch and recipe for sharing.

SEWING AND EMBROIDERY CLUB

Do you like to sew? Embroider? Well, this is the club for you. We meet at 10 A.M. on the second Tuesday. At the beginning of the meeting, we will hae demonstrations on different techniques, then we will have a hands-on session (with machines and materials provided) and a chance to view Table Top Displays. This will allow time for us to have Show and Tell and always have time to fellowship. This club is a great way to get ideas, motivation or just plain have fun. There is no charge for this club, and it is open to everyone.

STASH POT PIE
Do you have stash fabric stuffed in closets, hidden under the beds or in cabinets, or poking out of the pantry? If so, this club may be just for you!;
Every month you will receive cutting directions that have suggestion lists for your quilt; example, This quilt would be great for batiks, or it might look good in different shades of blue. When you come with your cut out quilt the following month , you will receive the directions for making the quilt. The patterns are very do-able and are sure to cause lots of excitement
Last year we had 9 very active members, and we finished a total of 47 quilts for the year. This quilt club is especially fun for small quilting groups that enjoy pooling their stashes.
The dues are $20 for the year, and you will receive a 20% discount on all fabric purchased on Stash Pot Pie Saturday.
The meeting starts at 11:30 A.M. on the third Saturday of the month and ends at 4:00 P.M. We also take turns with the menu each each month. We ask members to bring and share different recipes, also.

BEST FOOT FORWARD
Come and start the New Year off by putting your BEST FOOT FORWARD. We will be starting a new club focusing on Bernina feet and accessories. Each month we will feature several feet and practice the techniques. We will then mount them on cardstock and make a notebook. Membership for this club is $20 per year.

October will start our new project called the Too Foo Tote. It is a purse with patches of embellished fabric. Come enjoy this fun way to learn the many different presser feet and their applications.

Call ahead.
